Living Well Disability Services
Living Well Disability Services delivers exceptional services that transform the lives of people impacted by intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities. Founded as Dakota’s Children in 1972 by parents, volunteers and community partners in West St. Paul, our 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization today provides person-centered services to people living in the region.
University of Minnesota Football
Joseph Durda Family Scholarship Fund
The Joseph Durda Foundation, along with family and friends of the late Joe Durda, created a fund in 1986, which in 2011 became a scholarship endowment. The scholarship supports student-athletes on the U of M football team who are in good academic standing.

Joseph Durda Veterans Scholarship
The Joseph Durda Foundation Scholarship for Veterans accepts applications from all current students who have served or are serving in the any branch of the Armed Services. The Scholarship is annually renewable.
The late Mr. Durda, a wounded veteran of WWII and the Korean War, attended William Mitchell College of Law (now known as Mitchell Hamlin School of Law) but was unable to complete his legal education because he was re-called to active duty. He encouraged his brother, the late District Court Judge Chester Durda ’57, as well as his son-in-law, Miles Cohen ’72, to attend William Mitchell College of Law.

Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans
MACV provides assistance throughout Minnesota to positively motivated veterans and their families who are homeless or experiencing other life crises. MACV accomplishes its mission by providing services directly or in collaboration with other service agencies.
